Harry Wiltshire in Spain

Zone3 clad Elite Triathlete Harry Wiltshire gave another strong performance at the 2010 Pontevedra ITU premium european cup at the weekend.

Overall the race was win by former 2006 world cup winner Javier Gomez however Harry came out of the water in 5th place and against very strong opposition finished top Brit in 15th place in a race where seconds and tenths of seconds decided individual places.

Zone3 Athletes in Action at Windsor

Zone3 Athletes were busy at Windsor on 13th June!

Racing against a very strong field, Founder and MD of Zone3 James Lock had his usual strong swim against the current of the River Thames, exiting the swim in 6th and aided by his Vanquish wetsuit flew through T1 in only 54secs. A sterling bike performance saw James into T2 as part of the second pack and out onto the run, covering the 10k in a little under 35 mins. Overall James finished 8th in the Elite Race, a fantastic performance!

In the Sprint Race, Zone3 weekend sales superstar, Pavan Rooprai despite being in the Youth category took on all comers with a demonstration that showed him to be the rising star he is! Out of the water in 3rd, his 100k (Taper!!!) ride on friday took its toll and Pav came into T2 with some work to do. A brilliant run split which saw him post the 5th fastest time of the day, helped him to leapfrog the field, finishing in 6th out of over 300 finishers and first in his age group!!

Abbie Thorrington dominates at Mallory Park!!

Abbie Thorrington dominated the field at Mallory Park triathlon this bank holiday weekend(3rd May), leading from start to finish. Abbie lead the swim out, with FASTEST TRANSITION of the day, and continued her devistating speed throughout the bike and run sections. Not content with dominating the womens field, Abbie was nearly a minute faster than any male in the swim section.
